Your carrier calls ahead with a two-hour window. When the truck arrives, the vehicle comes off the trailer charged and detailed, with its documentation folder — inspection report, verified battery health read, warranty status, and title paperwork — already inside.

Take your time on the walk-around. Check the panels and glass against the listing photographs, confirm the odometer matches the paperwork, sit in the car and page through the touchscreen, and confirm the charge port and both trunks open. Anything that does not match what you were shown is a reason to pause the handoff, not a problem to sort out later — visible transport damage has to be noted at delivery to be claimable against the carrier.

When you are satisfied, you sign acceptance and the car is yours. Pairing your phone as a key takes about a minute, and the Tesla app links to the VIN on the spot.
